17/12/20 BLOG 28: THE FINAL BLOG
So, here we are in December, still living under restrictions, still with the virus part of our daily consciousness and existence and coming to the end of the Together, Alone project. So much has changed since this project began, we have been in and out of lockdown and now we have a glimmer of hope at some sort of new phase with the start of the programme of vaccinations. We know that for so many of us, our lives have been changed forever by the pandemic – we won’t be returning to “normal” but to a whole new world – and here at Together Alone we want messages around self-care and appropriate mental health and wellbeing support for women who sell or exchange sex to be a big part of that world.
Together Alone was always going to continue for as long as the magazine website did – and we have now reached the point at which the website is winding down in order for us to gear up into producing a digital magazine. We have learned so much and connected with so many people over the course of this project – and we would like to thank each and every one of you who has contributed in some way to our shared exploration into self-care and collective toolkit. |
What’s next? Well, we are in the midst of pulling all that we have learned from our blogs, masterclasses and tips and tools into an interactive, online self-care toolkit which we will be launching in January so watch this space! We would love you all to share it far and wide, reaching as many people who may find it useful as possible. We are also in the middle of the process of creating a digital magazine, which readers can physically flip through, that takes all that we have learned through building the CLiCK Magazine site. We will be working alongside women with lived experience of selling or exchanging sex as part of a Creative Editorial Team, shaping the design and content on the magazine. . The magazine will be released in March 2021 so keep your eyes peeled for more info in the New Year.
We hope that the festive season goes OK for you all. It’s a strange time and definitely a year where things are not the same as they usually are. Feel free to have a look through our blogs as well as our tips and tools if you need a bit of support around self-care. Remember – you are important and worthy of care and attention, especially during Christmas. Once again, thank you to everyone who has come on this journey with us – we appreciate your time, thought and effort and can’t wait to share our toolkit with you. Take Care,
