Together, Alone was a wellbeing arts-based project which aimed to foster a sense of community through working with women with lived experience of selling or exchanging sex or images to build a collective self-care toolkit. Through a series of blogs, artist masterclasses, and one-to-one work with women we built a space to creatively explore self-care during the coronavirus pandemic. The Together, Alone toolkit will be released in late January and we hope that it will provide a supportive resource full of practical tips, tools, and inspiration for anyone who needs it. All of our blogs, masterclasses, tips and tools can be accessed below.
Together Alone is Click Magazine’s space to explore self-care. We all deserve the chance to look after ourselves in ways that work for us, especially just now during the Coronavirus pandemic when we are feeling the impacts of lockdown and isolation. This will be a place where we will share tips, as well as focus on the links between self-care and creativity with masterclasses from artists to build skills and ideas. This is also a critical space where we will reflect on not only self-care, but what needs to be done when self-care isn’t enough to help our mental wellbeing.
We would love to hear from women about what works/doesn’t work for you – we welcome any tips you have, as well as invite you to represent them in a creative way to be included in the toolkit. Maybe you can use one of the techniques from a masterclass, or perhaps you’ve got ideas of your own about how to share a self-care tip in a creative way! We’ll regularly update our blog with what’s happening behind the scenes, as well as sharing thoughts and tips. We can’t wait to build Together Alone with you. |
