RISE SURVEY 6: CHECKING IN - WHAT ARE YOUR NEEDS RIGHT NOW?

Back in March, at the start of the coronavirus pandemic, CLiCK asked women who sell or exchange sex or images what their most urgent needs were. Women told us they had concerns around money, housing, mental wellbeing, safety, and sexual health. This initial needs assessment has guided CLiCK’s work for the past seven months. Now, we want to know more about women’s needs at this stage of the pandemic. Have your needs changed since March? What’s been your experience of support during the pandemic? And what do you think should be done to better meet the needs and rights of women who sell or exchange sex or images as Scotland begins the process of recovery from coronavirus? Your voice is absolutely crucial in ensuring Scotland’s support landscape works for all women who sell or exchange sex or images.

This survey should take roughly 10 minutes to complete. Your participation in this survey is voluntary and your responses are completely anonymous and confidential. Responses will only be accessed by Anna (CLiCK Development Worker) and Shannon (CLiCK Resource and Information Officer). The only personal and identifying information we will keep a record of is your email address if you choose to provide one to be contacted by Anna to discuss your needs further. It will be stored in accordance with GDPR. Your email address will not be shared with anyone else or be used to contact you for any reason other than discussing your needs or experiences further.

The results of this survey will be used to inform discussions on Click Cast – our monthly podcast series – and will also be used to directly inform specialist services, mainstream services, and decision makers of the needs of women who sell/exchange sex or images in Scotland. Anonymised responses may also be used on CLiCK social media and in training materials. As all survey responses are completely anonymous and not linked to any personal identifying information, we are not able to delete individual’s responses once they have been submitted.

UPDATE: When this survey was first published, we were offering the first 50 respondents a £20 Love2Shop eGift card if they provided a valid email address and completed the answers marked with an asterix fully. We received a high volume of responses which have now been through an internal checking mechanism to check for eligibility and we have now allocated all of the vouchers. Thank you so much to all the women who have taken part so far.

We still welcome all responses to the survey but unfortunately are unable to provide any further eGift cards to respondents.
